This should be a good wake-up call for Clintwood.

If Lebanon avgs 270 across the LOS with 4 or 5 guys faster than our fastest guy with a QB that can run or pass equaly well then I am right there with you on the "Ouch" LOL

Not sure.....it would be differant if it was just Clintwood not playing well but Vol was just better at all facets of the game. I am not 100% sure that getting beat like that is good for anyone LOL
Like I said we may have just caught them on a GREAT day but they were as good a team as I have seen
They could beat any team in Region D by 4-5 td's.

I really believe that playing better teams, and sometimes losing to them, makes you better. If you play weaker teams and cruise through the season, you are likely to be less prepared for the better teams in post-season.
I also have no doubt that Robinson's absence had a much bigger impact than some might imagine. With CR, Clintwood can be a 8-2 or 9-1 team. Without him, Clintwood might be 5-5, 6-4 or 7-3 at best.

Beat JI Burton by 5 td's? No.

Well they looked pretty good last night that is for sure.
Both their offensive and defensive lines were just manhandled last night though. Clintwood will have a size and talent advantage over most of the teams they play this year. Last night that wasn't the case. They couldn't do anything last night. I'd say most everyone would agree that Derick Robbins is one of the 10 best players in the region. Last night he looked slow and below average. It's just a big difference in the talent pool and the players from there. If Robinson had been there last night, I guess it could have been a 35,28-14 kind of game, but I don't think they'd have one.

Yes. Without a doubt. You'll see that when CW plays JIB too. We're just not as good over here as we used to be or as we think we are.

I must say I am totally shocked. I Tivo'd highlights tonight, and caught the clips from the Volunteer/CW game. On a couple of those clips it really didn't look like the Wave was putting forth full effort. When the FB scored up the gut, CW's players were just standing there and didn't make an attempt to run the kid down or anything, or at least it looked that way.
Volunteer is better than usual, but still, I thought Clintwood would be the superior team.
